About Me
My name is Mike Behr, and I am a hybrid athlete. I have competed in various endurance races such as Ironman and the 4x4x48 David Goggin’s challenge. I also am a high performance and accountability coach.
But this wasn’t always the case for me…...
After graduating from college, I began working in the corporate world.
I was working extremely long hours, eating very unhealthy, and drinking 3-4 times a week.
Over time, I began to fall into this routine that caused me to become very unhappy with the life I was living.
I was dependent on food and alcohol to take me out of the current state that I was living.
Eventually, I reached a breaking point. I decided that it was time for a change.
The problem?
I had no idea even where to begin. Luckily, my cousin who I looked up to growing up had competed in numerous Ironman’s and helped me begin my journey of becoming a healthier and happier person.
Over the next couple of months, with his help and a bunch of courses and research I did on my own time, I was able to come up with a plan to help change the current state of which I was living.
To begin, I made sure to exercise at least 4-5 times a week following a simple lifting program.
For nutrition, I tried eating as many whole foods as possible and really started paying attention to my relationship with food.
For sleep, I developed a sleeping routine that greatly impacted my ability to sleep and quality of sleep.
Without his help, I would have no idea where to even begin. That is why ACCOUNTABILITY IS CRUCIAL when you are beginning your journey.
I then decided it was time to step it up a notch.
So, I signed up for my first 70.3 Ironman. Over the next 6 months, I dedicated myself to achieving a goal I never thought would be possible.
Turns out, consistency and accountability was all that I needed to get it done.
Don’t get me wrong, it was a ton of work and some grueling hours, but most people overcomplicate the process and how achievable it actually is.
In March of 2022, I ran the 4x4x48 challenge by David Goggins. This included running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.
In May, I completed my first Ironman 70.3 race.
A year before these events, I was an out of shape and unmotivated person.
With consistency, discipline, and accountability, I was able to change the direction of my life and I have never been happier.
My goal with my coaching service is to help you achieve your full potential. Whether it is getting into better shape, developing better habits, or trying to become a happier/healthier person, I am here to help.
All you need is a little consistency and accountability and you can truly achieve anything.
